Holistic Management® Courses for Family Farms

We are pleased to be able now to offer Holistic Management® Courses in Eastern Canada. Holistic Management® has been steadily growing in popularity in the Prairies as a way of helping farm families harmonize Environmental, Social, and Financial goals into a single Holistic goal and make progress towards it.

This HM course helps you create that Holistic goal and then gives you tools to help you get there. Those tools include creating a management team, testing questions for making better decisions, a financial planning framework that helps you plan a profit, improved grazing strategies to grow more grass, cropping strategies that improve soil fertility and monitoring and control techniques to keep you making progress towards your goal.

The course covers 6 days. (It is usually scheduled in two, three day segments) This is because it is very hands-on. You learn the concepts AND apply them to your situation so you have something to take home that is useful, not just theoretical. Doing it while you are at the course gives you the support of the educators when you have questions and being away from the usual work demands helps you all focus on what you are working on. There is also the added synergy of learning with a group of other farmers; we all learn from each other too.
