Annual Farm Open House

We have put our annual seedling sale list online. Please place your orders using our online store here.– and then we will send you a confirmation with a total. You can add your meat orders using the same site. You can choose to come and shop at the farm during the open house, but to ensure availability - we recommend pre-ordering online here.

We’re still sorting out how everything will go, and will be following the current health guidelines. We'll be setting up pickup times for the weekend of May 11th and 12th, 2024, as part of the open house. We’re still getting that part sorted out.

The annual Meeting Place Organic Farm open house has been going for at least 30 years. It is always in May, from 10am-4pm on Saturday and 12pm-4pm on Sunday.

Meeting Place Organic Farm is a 100 acre family farm which we have owned and operated since 1973. It is located in SW Ontario, near Lucknow in the picturesque rolling farmland of northern Huron County.

Our open house is an opportunity for you to come meet all of our family, the animals, learn about organic farming, pick up organic vegetable, herb, flower and heirloom tomato seedlings for your garden, as well as purchase some of our freezer meat options that are currently available or pick up pre-ordered meat.

The farm is beautiful in autumn. The fall colours, the livestock on the pastures, the fresh apples. You’re invited to come out to pick up your pre-ordered fall meat, our canning, fresh garden vegetables, apple cider and fresh apples. We’ll have horse drawn wagon rides, farm tours and the opportunity to meet the farmers and see the animals.

We’re proud of what we do and how we do it and want to share a little bit of our lives with you. We think it is important to connect customers with the food that they eat and feel like this is a special way to do that.

Our animals spend most of their lives living out on pastures, running around, breathing fresh air and eating an organic diet appropriate for their digestive system.

We have many of our products available for purchase at the open house, along with the organic seedlings. You can find lovely lamb skins – perfect for your or the wee ones you love. We get them so they are machine washable, just to make life a little easier.

We also will have no and low sugar jams made with our organic fruit, some pickles and relishes available, along with our signature apple butter.

You can also pick up one or more dozen of our farm fresh brown eggs. We have a flock of lovely layers who free roam around the pastures eating a diet of grasses and insects, supplemented with grain, oyster shell and minerals.

We also have local honey (some of the hives are on our farm) and maple syrup available.
